FAQ

Below is a list of frequently asked questions and common issues, along with their solutions

If you click File => Log Out in the Reddoxx Desktop window and then close the window using the Back and Cancel buttons (meaning you are no longer logged in), an unhandled exception occurs when you subsequently click the icon in the taskbar.

The cause of this is that the part of the application (which remains in the taskbar) continues to expect an active session. Therefore, you should either not close or log out of the application at all, or use the following batch script as a workaround (which you can then place on the user’s desktop, e.g., as a shortcut with the appropriate icon):

@echo off
taskkill /IM “Reddoxx Desktop.exe” /F
start “” “C:\Program Files\REDDOXX Desktop\REDDOXX Desktop.exe”

This ensures that any remaining process of REDDOXX Desktop is cleanly terminated and restarted each time

This issue occurs after installing the Windows Security Update KB5126646 and appears to be caused by missing permissions. Currently, there is no known workaround (other than holding off on installing the update). However, this may be resolved in a future update from Microsoft.
